Frequently Asked Questions

What's the point of this website?

I wanted to create a place where I could completely customize my aesthetic down to the finest detail, display my art in creative ways, and place my thoughts into the world without the worry of social media engagement or disappointment. A small group of my friends had Neocities pages, so I finally gave in and created my own.

Where else can we find you and contant you?

You can find me most anywhere under the handle Acidkeylime! My main socials are Twitter, Instagram, and Tiktok. Since Twitter changed who is allowed to send DMs and Instagram truly despises sending me notifications for DM requests, it's easiest to get in touch by emailing me at Chloe@Acidkeylime.com or by asking me to DM you first on Twitter via tweet (if you are brave.)

What program do you use for your digital art and what brushes do you use for pixel art?

I use Clip Studio Paint for most of my digital art, occassionally Procreate, but the brush pack I'm currently using for pixel art was removed from the CSP assets store. I'm just lucky I'm a brush hoarder or I'd lose them. There are plenty of other pixxel brush packs, though, and I personally recommend Pixel Brushes Mega Pack (Content ID:1969097) as a fine alternative! I animate my pixels by hand and import them into Photoshop to put into a timeline because I still have not learned CSP animation feature yet.

What about your traditional art materials?
  • Pentel Orenz 0.2 Mechanical Pencil
  • Pentalic Traveler's Sketchbook (the best paper for marker art IMO)
  • Pigma Microns (Grey and Black, mostly)
  • Copic Markers (and other misc. marker brands)
  • Prismacolor Colored Pencils
  • White Gellyrolls
  • Is there anywhere we can see your older art?

My Twitter and my old Instagram Miss.Chlover have a lot of my older art buried, but I actually have a large archive on my Pinterest. It goes back to some of my old high school art and is divided by year starting at the end of 2015. It doesn't have everything, since some art was sold or lost before I was able to archive it.

Can you code a page or a website for me?

No, sorry. It's all spaghetti here and I am the king of constantly moving things pixel by pixel to put them in just the right spot. I'm learning slowly, but I don't know enough of any of this to justify making anyone else code, free or charged.

Some of the literature and pages are kind of concerning, are you okay?

I have many issues, but don't be concerned about any of my hidden poems or pages! I like to make silly things and I sometimes write based off of memories of my emotions. Art or writing I create in bad mental health moments will not be posted anywhere on this site and I tag with content warnings anything I believe needs one!

    Do you take art commissions?

I do! There's a link on the homepage (coming soon), but you can also follow through here! (also coming soon) I take commission requests by email or via Ko-Fi listing for more simple, straight forward options.

What do you actually do for a living?

    I'm a fraud analyst hehe

How do you feel about NFTs and AI?

100% no for anything NFT related, don't come to me requesting commissions to sell as NFTs or requesting to turn my artwork into NFTs. I can and will take legal action against any of my art being stolen for NFTs. As for AI, I think it's an atrociously lazy and unethical way to create art that really should be reserved to memes and trained without stolen artwork. Do not use my art to train any AIs, thank you. See my previous statement about taking legal action.

    Do you draw free requests?

No, please ask someone who advertises free requests instead.

Is everything on your page created by you?

Yes, not counting some free use repeating patterns on some backgrounds and artwork on smaller pages credited to their creators at the bottom of each page. I am going to make a small page of credits at some point.
